NLCI VISION

“New Life Church International exists to impact our city, our region, our nation and our world for Christ” 

Our vision is to raise up a church that will effect our city, our state, our nation and our world for God. New Life Church International is a church of diversity. Our members are multi-cultural and multi-generational.
We will do this by making a committed effort to fulfill the great commission, reaching out to Lima, Ohio, Allen County, the state of Ohio, the United States of America, and the nations of the world.

It is our belief that Jesus commissioned the church to do three things. This is our view of the great commission.

Evangelism:
Jesus said preach the Gospel to every creature. We are called to evangelize the world beginning with our "Jerusalem" - Lima, Ohio. (Reference: Mark 16: 15, 16, Acts 1:8)
Discipleship:
Jesus commissioned us to make disciples of those who get saved. (Reference: Matthew 28: 18-20, I Timothy 2: 1-4, II Timothy 2: 1,2, Hebrews 5: 11-14, III John 4)
The Ministry of Compassion:
God commands us to demonstrate His care for the needs of others. We do this by healing the sick and oppressed, and caring for the poor and needy. (Reference: Luke 4: 18, 19, Acts 10: 38, Matthew 10: 5-8, Matthew 25: 31-46, Mark 16: 17, 18, James 5: 13-16, Matthew 22: 35-40)

Our Vision Strategy

The weekly worship service
Our services are designed to be a time of freedom in praising and worshipping the Lord. The scriptures tell us that we enter His presence with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. The word tells us that in His presence is fullness of joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength and we experience times of refreshing in the presence of the Lord. This is for the edifying of the body and for the drawing of the lost to God. (Reference: Psalms 100, Psalms 16: 11, Nehemiah 8: 10, Acts 3: 19, Psalms 51: 10-13)

The teaching of God's Word
The key to becoming a disciple of Christ is coming into an accurate knowledge of the scriptures. We are committed to the teaching of the scriptures for edification, instruction, and training for all age groups and all special interest groups. For example: teens, children, singles, etc.

Cell groups
Small groups are a very effective way to touch people on a personal level for evangelism, discipleship, and meeting human needs. We are committed to being a cell church establishing God's presence throughout the Lima area and beyond, in homes and businesses. We encourage all members to commit themselves to being an active part of a cell group.

Ministry training.
We believe that every member of our church is a minister of God. We are all called to the ministry of reconciliation, and we are all called to serve the body of Christ in some way. We encourage all believers to commit themselves to the leadership training that will help them find and develop the gift of service that God has given them. (Reference: II Corinthians 5: 17-19, I Peter 4: 10, 11)

Evangelistic and ministry outreach.
Jesus told us to go into all the world and preach the gospel. We are committed to a plan of evangelism using the cell group system. We are committed to a ministry to the poor through the Storehouse Pantry. We are committed to foreign missions presently supporting several overseas works. We are also committed to planting new churches.
